About Bachtold

From Switzerland to America 1588 - Now. The name Bachtold is very prevalent in Switzerland. It appears that the original
spelling was Baechtold. When the Bachtolds came to America the spelling in most cases became Bachtold. We have lived in
Moline, Illinois for more than Thirty years. Moline is part of the Quad Cities. The Quad Cities is made up of two cities in Illinois
and two cities in Iowa separated by the Mississippi River.
